For the first time in the twelve years of FUTURES Antiques.com, I am holding a Sale! (See more information below the introduction.*)
FUTURES Antiques deals exclusively in 20th century Art, Design, Collectibles, and Cultural Artifacts. Since 1991 (in my Norfolk Virginia store, and 1996 on the web), I have offered high-style, investment-level furnishings and design; fine midrange collectibles; profoundly low-class kitsch; and category-defying cultural artifacts. I make DAILY changes to the site: posting the new items and articles, or tagging and moving just-purchased items to the "Sold" gallery. Also, I often add my-two-cents from the front line trenches of the antiques business and life in general. (See the News & Opinions and Archives sections for these posts.)
To view FUTURES inventory, click the SHOP button (above, in the black navigation bar, or to the right, from the menu). If you want MORE INFORMATION on an item (larger view, history, condition, dimensions, price, etc.) click its THUMBNAIL photo. If you have further questions, I'll be glad to answer them. We all know the Web can be a tricky, complex, vague place...especially for unique Antiques and Art. Rest assured I prefer total security and transparency for the both of us here at FUTURES Antiques.

*ABOUT THE SALE:
No hype.
No jokes.
The facts:
I would like to try something:
MONDAYS are now "MAKE AN OFFER Day" here (on the web site only. The physical store is closed on this day). Think of this as a SALE with an AUCTION attitude.
There are rules. There are always rules. Here are The Rules: (read them carefully)
- "Make an Offer" days will continue for an undetermined amount of time. I will not guarantee its lasting far into the future(s).
- Your email offers must arrive Mondays only, between 12:00 p.m. noon and 12:00 a.m. midnight, Eastern Standard Time, U.S.A.. No other "offer" times will be available. If you miss this Monday, and if the items in which you are interested are still available, try again.
- I will consider, respond to, and probably accept all reasonable offers.
- During one 12 hour sale period, should more than one person be interested in the same single item, I will accept the highest offer. I will not obligate myself to reveal current high offers. (The sale is in this sense not an auction.) Only the person with the highest offer will be notified. Consider yourselves "silent bidders".
- Clicking on the thumbnail photo will give you the large photo and further information, including dimensions and retail price. If you see a "con" within the item inventory number (example: "HOVBCON123456" it signifies a "consigned" item, which is not available for sales. I do not own these items. There are very few at FUTURES, so it's not much of an issue.
- No "holds" or "layaways" will be applied to these events.
- Purchases must be made in full within 12 hours of sale confirmation.
- Item payments may be made by MasterCard or Visa only. Packing, insurance, and shipping (by professionals only) will be a second charge, if the item sold requires such transport.
- Locally sold items must be picked up before the following Monday, otherwise there will be a $10.00 per day storage fee. Local deliveries are available for an added fee (to be determined by the circumstances).
- See the "Policies" page for further related information.
- Implicit in a "Make an Offer" event is your agreement to its terms.
Okay, click on the "SHOP" page and start shopping!
I'm ready to keep an open mind and an open store.
Thanks for your consideration.
Ronn.
