Frozen but splashy news!

Speaking of water...

I've been waiting for this for a long time:

WATER IS NOW CONFIRMED to exist on Mars.

I've always thought it was incredibly self-centered the way we humans view ourselves within the Universe and Time. Confirming water on Mars does NOT confirm other life, large or small, past or present, but our science says water is the necessary component for life, and, if it is a literal Universal fact, we are one step closer to being forced to admit we are NOT the single creation over which we've tortured and killed each other since painting our faces with charcoal and goat's blood.

I'm very pleased.

It'll do until other life - single cell squirmies or big-headed baldies - is found or finds us.

Then, I'll be very, VERY pleased.

Someone on another planet may be saying the same thing, and is waiting to see how THEIR "organized", established institutions dance to that same tune.
